Experts See Bungee Jumping Potential in #Giddhay #KURSEONG

Experts who have surveyed bungee jumping potential in our hills have said that Giddhay holds potential for bungee jumping.

According to source, experts have stated in their report that, "a Cantilever platform can be built over an iron cliff over looking the beautiful Rohini valley. The fixed cantilever platform can be extended to the middle of the valley, the bungee jumping height in Giddhey KURSEONG would be around 83 metres which is roughly 273 feets and equivalent to jumping from a building approx 22 stories high."

Corresponding with TheDC, Mr. Sangay Sherpa of Off Road Adventure said, "We are submitting a proposal to tourism department for a joint venture on this sport... Professional bungee instructors from New Zealand are in touch with us who can come to visit the site once we get approval."

We hope that GTA Tourism and the Govt of India will work out the modalities at the earliest to make this happen.
