Sombaria
Police in Sikkim have apprehended the absconding accused Ganesh Sah who had
allegedly raped a 17-Year old minor girl during the month of September 2016.
The alleged
accused, a goldsmith by profession used to work in a jewellery shop at
Sombaria. The victim girl was reportedly brought from Bihar by the alleged
accused to work as housemaid. The alleged accused had absconded from the area
after commission of crime till he was apprehended from Passpar, Bihar by police
team from Sombaria Police Station.
A case under
section 376 (Rape) read with section 6 of the Protection of Children from
Sexual Offences Act, 2012 had been registered against the accused
