It makes me sad to see people rejoice on Kalimpong being declared a "Separate District." Even though I am from Kalimpong and I love Her, Yet I'll never change my Postal Address to District- Kalimpong, coz I've always been and will always be a Part of Darjeeling District.

Yes we used to face problems sometimes, travelling to Darjeeling for official work and so on and so forth but those problems were nothing....not even centimeters close from what problems we are facing now and what kind of a world we are giving to our up coming generations.

It makes my heart heavy seeing our people blinded by 'Money,False Pride and False Dreams.'

Everything is right before our eyes, we know everything is false and wrong yet we are supporting it and yet we are blinded.

What is it that has happened to our people and who is to be blamed?

Is it our meek Politicians who set this trend, who sold their souls to The Devil (WB Govt) for Wealth and now that every body wants to follow their footsteps. Or is it Mamta and the WB Govt that is to be blamed for successfully dividing "Us" or is it our Selfishness and Greed that is to be blamed?

Literacy rate in our Darjeeling Hills might have increased compared to the older days but I believe we are 'Educated Illiterates.' People from the older days might not have been educated literary but they were 'Morally Educated' and that is why Love and Brotherhood prevailed. But we 'Educated Illiterates' have lost it all. 'Too many cooks spoil the food.'
